imagines a world where people of African descent, people of Asian descent, and people who are descendants of both communities join together in solidarity and move forward in a mutual alliance.

There were many iterations of the logo as I incorporated our vision and mission's visual language, it all starts with drawing by hand and conceptualizing, exploring different logo options and colors.

We wanted ebb and flow, sun and moon, nature vs nurture, fire vs water. I added some coloring, simplified, and invited our founder and leading board heads for some live visual feedback.

I played around with colors to finalize our palette and then launched a mock Instagram and asked our 8,000 Facebook members for feedback.

I added an official seal for internal use and explored typography and official font use.

And then took a step back to explore different assets, layout arrangements—to finally arrive with the current logo I felt captured the vision.
Along with the logo I created galactic element assets and a brand identity guide for the artistic/design team to use for social media.
After branding, I also designed their carousels for their Instagram and Social Media Platforms. You can find their website at baanorg.org and @baanorg on IG.
