Istredd Cheng
Istredd Cheng (They/Them) is a Queer, Trans, and Non-binary 1st Generation Formosa Island American and considers themselves a strong independent they/them and grassroots organizer. With a background in Ministry, Psychology, and Religious Studies they’ve been able to use their insight to create space for trans and gender non-conforming folks as a market trainer for Apple and membership adviser for Equinox and created their own shared AirBnB for Queer couples to meet for the first time.
They recently had the opportunity to also be a part of Asian American Advocacy Fund as a field organizer, canvassing the Asian American community in Georgia and effectively flipping the senate. They were a panelist for Goldman Sachs at Trans Day of Visibility, Social Media Strategist for Multitude Films, and a founding member and Creative Visual Arts Director of Black & Asian Alliance Network.
And in their free time, they practice the art of liberation by thriving, resisting, and fighting toxic masculinity, racism disguised as racial preferences, and systemic fetishization, desexualization, and erasure.
